Mary Elizabeth Clarke (born in Kearneysville, WV on 24 April 1903 to Lenora Blanche Burnett and Thomas James Clarke [born 8 Jan 1863 in Bellefonte, PA] married Levin Sothoron on 24 May 1924. She secondly married George H. Hoddinott on 28 April 1937, and died in Baltimore, MD on 30 January 1987. (rootsweb.com* - Descendants of Robert E. Burnett)

Levin J. Sothoron, Jr., a 47 year, 5 month, 28 day old married white male, died on 3 April 1951 while at work at Leland Pharmacy (not self-emp.), Bethesda, Montgomery Co., MD. His usual residence was 4701 Butterworth Pl., N.W., Washington, DC. He was born 5 Oct 1903 in Washington, DC to Levin J. Sothorn Sr. & Marguerite Tayloe. His Social Security Number was 578-01-5944 & he was not a military veteran. Informant was Martha E. Sothoron of the same address.

- Cause of death was “Hemorrhage due to bullet wound thru skull,” ruled to be self-inflicted (suicide), occurring at 6:40 p.m. Inspection of the body and certification were by Frank J. Bowerhart, M.D., of Gaithersburg, MD.

- Burial was to be at Washington National Cemetery, Suitland, MD. Arrangements by Robert A. Pumphrey of Bethesda. (Certificate of Death For Medical Examiners #3955; Reg. Dist. No. 216, Filed 1951.04.04)
